NAFTA, Trump's uncertainty and preparing Canada for an era without it

NAFTA and Donald Trump's uncertainty over the agreement has the Canadian government actively preparing for an era without it. The U.S. president has maintained his threat to pull out of the trade deal, but has suggested they are willing to continue negotiations. The next round of NAFTA talks will take place in Montreal at the end of January. In the meantime, the federal government says it will continue to prepare for a potential U.S. withdrawal.
