Leaders of US Senate reach a budget deal

Leaders in the United States Senate have reached a bipartisan two-year budget deal ahead of a possible government shutdown tonight at midnight US time. Republican and Democratic principals reached a compromise package that would include approximately 300 billion dollars in defence and domestic spending over the next 24 months while deferring negotiations on immigration.
